I am thrilled to share that several pieces by Original Eve Designs have been acquired by the Somewhere In The Rainbow Collection.
Somewhere In The Rainbow is a unique gem and jewelry collection with the goal of bringing education and enjoyment of fine colored gems to museums, galleries and facilities dedicated to preserving the rarity and beauty of these minerals, gems, and articles of jewelry. Somewhere In The Rainbow speaks with gallery owners, museum curators, gemologists, modern jewelry designers and the collector of rare and fine gems from around the world to gather pieces and educate the public.
To have pieces in the collection is an incredible honor. It means that my work will be used as an educational tool to teach gem and jewelry lovers about gemology, craftsmanship, and jewelry history for decades to come.
A statement from Shelly Sergent, Curator of Somewhere In The Rainbow:
“ Meeting Eve and seeing her clean designs was a breath of fresh air. The gems are the stars of the show and her use of subtle details and finishes are superb. Welcoming her pieces into our Somewhere In The Rainbow family is a great joy and honor.
Wearing her pieces personally, is even more fun.”
Included in the acquisition are the following:

About The Gemstone:
Kyanite is blue silicate found in metamorphic rock. Kyanite is a stone known for having variable hardness: The hardness when tested along the length of the crystal is a 4.5-5 on the Mohs scale, whereas the hardness across the width of crystal measures a 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. The mineral was once commonly called "disthene" which means "two strengths".

The Twisted Pearl Stick Necklace features a baroque pearl with a natural shape that is completely unique: The pearl is elongated into a stick and twists upon itself providing movement and whimsy in this one-of-a-kind necklace. The necklace is made in 18k Yellow Gold with a matte satin finish that amplifies the lustrous glow of the pearl.

The Pear-Shaped Pearl Pendant with Montana Sapphires & Diamonds is the winner of the "Business/Day Wear – WJA Gem DIVA™ Award" category of the 2020 AGTA Spectrum Awards™. The pendant features an elongated baroque pearl. The unique twisted form of the pearl is echoed and celebrated throughout the design.
Following the ridged twist of the pearl, the 18k Recycled Gold of the pendant twirls on itself creating dynamic movement that brings the eye up and around to the back of the pendant. The back is highly detailed with a unique cut-out of jungle leaves that tie the piece into the Amazon Collection and evoke light coming through the leaves of the canopy in the jungle.
With a graduated spray of Montana Sapphires and Diamonds that lead the eye along a twist of gold, the form of the pearl dictates every detail of the pendant and makes this one-of-a-kind piece a statement for any collection.
It is very exciting that my Spectrum Award Winning Pearl Pendant has been acquired by the Somewhere In The Rainbow Collection! This piece being in the Somewhere In The Rainbow Collection is an incredible honor.

The Pink Pearl Coin Necklace has a beautiful blush and sharp luster. With pink and green overtones and a metallic finish, the coin pearl in this new necklace gleams with a beautiful array of hues and tones.
The pearl disk has baroque edge and completely unique form. The pearl comes to a point at the top where a white, rounded pearl sits naturally embedded in the coin pearl, almost like an homage to the traditional and expected form of pearls.
